Looks like modelling doesn’t have an expiry date. I mean just look at the forever fabulous Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer, and now our veteran modelling sensation and 90’s grunge ‘it’ model, Emma Balfour has indeed landed the Celine AW10/11 Campaign.
How exciting! It’s so good to see some of our greats re-enter the modelling world. First we saw the lovely Elle Macpherson who closed Louis Vuitton’s AW10 runway show and also saw the first return of Balfour walking at New York Fashion Week for Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang for their SS09 collections. Who of our greats is going to come back next?
Let’s not forget that Balfour also made her return for the Aussies at last year’s Rosemount Australian Fashion Week for Alpha60, Friedrich Gray and Camilla + Marc, and also for Ksubi this year’s Fashion Week, as well as landing campaigns for Willow, One Teaspoon and Jac + Jack.
It’s obvious that our Emma Balfour is definitely back. I say bring back all the 90’s models! It would be the greatest photoshoot ever.
