LMFF Vogue L’Oreal Paris Runway

The second of the L’Oreal Paris runway shows was presented by Vogue Tuesday night featuring the latest collections from ANT!PODiUM, Arnsdorf, Dion Lee, ELLERY, Friedrich Gray, Gary Bigeni, Romance Was Born and Therese Rawsthorne. The show was indeed very edgy, part quirky colourful and part dark sophistication.

Romance Was Born opened the show with brilliant looks and detailing with bows made out of dollar bills and bags filled and designed with dollar bills, galactic and colourful prints and a puffy shoulders and that very chic brooched corset that stunned the audience. I always love what Romance Was Born brings to the table. Very 80’s inspired but fashion forward at the same time, with every bit of detailing giving as much attention to the eye as the outfit itself. The whole collection was amazing and mind blowing.

Now I was very excited to see Dion Lee’s latest designs after he blew Australia and me away with his debut collection at RAFW and he did not disappoint anyone with his latest collection and masterpieces. His pieces were again edgy, fashion forward and sexy with whites, greys, blues and blacks, clean cuts, metal detailing and elegant tailoring. Lee was also announced the winner of the LMFF Designer Award after the show that same night.

Other stand outs for me from the Vogue runway show included ELLERY’s amazing ‘A Tribute To Dr. Strange’ collection with her military inspired jacket, topped with peaked shoulders and gorgeous gold sequined detailing, sexy thigh high leather boots with exposed suspenders and black high waisted shorts detailed with gold studs and frays.
