We realise sometimes the colour isn’t quite right or that things can go awry in transit. If you’re looking to return or exchange an item, please familiarise yourself with our Return/Exchange Policy below. It will only take a few minutes and could save you a lot of time and money.
1 RELATIONSHIP TO END-USER AGREEMENT
This policy forms part of the FOS End-User Agreement.
1.1 DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION
- All defined terms and principles of interpretation in the FOS End-User Agreement apply to this policy. This policy also contains terms defined below.
- ‘the goods’ means the individual items delivered to you by FOS.
- ‘order specifications’ means the specifications of the item you purchase as uploaded to the Website by you at the time of purchase.
2 GROUNDS FOR REFUND OR EXCHANGE
- Subject to clause 4, FOS will refund or exchange the goods if they:
- arrive damaged;
- do not match the product description on the Website;
- do not match the order specifications; or
- are defective.
- Subject to clause 4, FOS will exchange the goods if you decide:
- you do not like the colour of the goods; or
- you do not like the size or fit of the goods.
3 PROVISOS
- If you seek:
- a refund or exchange because the goods arrived damaged or did not match the product description on the Website or the order specifications; or
- an exchange because you do not like the colour, size or fit of the goods,
- then in order to obtain the refund or exchange, you must:
- notify FOS within 10 days of delivery of the goods to you;
- complete a FOS Refunds and Exchanges form emailed to you by FOS;
- return (and FOS must receive) the goods and the completed FOS Refunds and Exchanges form within 20 days of delivery of the goods to you; and
- ensure the goods are returned to FOS in the same condition they were in when received by you, including being unwashed, unworn and with swing tags attached (if any).
- If you seek a refund or exchange because the goods are defective, then in order to obtain the refund or exchange, you must:
- notify FOS of the damage within 10 days of the defect becoming apparent;
- complete a FOS Refunds and Exchanges form emailed to you by FOS; and
- return the goods to FOS within 20 days of the defect becoming apparent.
- Before issuing a refund or exchange, FOS may inspect the returned goods to verify the grounds for return. FOS will not be obliged to comply with clause 3 of this policy if FOS reasonably believes that you have not substantiated your grounds for return.
4 RETURNING GOODS TO FOS
- To notify FOS that you seek a refund or exchange, email FOS on customercare@fileonstyle.com.
- You must properly package and protect goods you return.
- Within Australia, you must use Registered Post to return goods to FOS.
- From outside Australia, you must use Registered Air Mail to return goods to FOS.
- Address all post to: File on Style, PO BOX 858, Strawberry Hills, NSW, Australia, 2012.
5 COSTS OF RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
- If the goods:
- arrived damaged;
- did not match the product description on the Website;
- did not match the order specifications; or
- were defective,
- FOS will pay for Registered Post costs incurred by you when returning the goods to FOS. FOS will also pay for delivering any replacement goods to you.
- If you have taken an exchange for any reason other than a reason listed in paragraph (a), you must pay for the postage costs of returning the goods to FOS and FOS’ delivering the replacement goods to you.
6 FORM OF REFUND AND EXCHANGE
- If FOS gives you a refund, FOS will reverse the charges via the payment method you used to purchase the goods.
- If you take an exchange and FOS does not have suitable alternative goods, FOS will instead provide you with a credit in the form of a FOS gift voucher.
